Peter Karlson is recognized as an innovative and dynamic technology entrepreneur with over 20 years of industry expertise. Since founding NeuEon in 2004, Peter has built the organization into a thriving consultancy with a broad line of services to help organizations of all sizes succeed. Peter is passionate for helping companies make smart, cost-effective, technology and staff decisions, and his collaborative approach to working with clients has won praise from senior executives across industries.
Under Peter’s leadership, NeuEon delivers for a mix of new and long-term clients with offerings ranging from due diligence and M&A technology assessments for investors, to large-scale agile transformations. NeuEon also offers specialized offerings around CTO services, security and continuous innovation. Before founding NeuEon, Peter served as Vice President and CTO for custom Internet software provider Harrison & Troxell, Inc. where he helped to grow the firm from two employeess to over 50 and increase revenue from $200,000 to more than $6 million. Following H&T’s acquisition by Inforonics, Peter served as VP of Technology for the 40-year-old firm. While there he was involved in the due diligence process for Inforonics’ mergers and acquisitions including Delphi Forums (now Prospero).
Peter has attended the Entrepreneurship Development Program at MIT and currently serves as the Entrepreneur in Residence (EIR) at the Cape Cod Chamber of Commerce as well as a part-time lecturer at the Charlton College of Business at University of Massachusetts Dartmouth. As the EIR for the Chamber, Peter works directly with entrepreneurs on developing their business model and funding pitches, as well as economic development initiatives that further the mission of entrepreneurship in the region. Peter has also successfully completed the Lean LaunchPad for Incubators/Accelerators program by NCIIA/VentureWell and uses that as the basis of his Evidence Based Entrepreneurship class at UMass. He is a past Chairman and current Board Member of the Cape Cod Technology Council and is an organizer and certified facilitator for TechStars’ Startup Weekend. Peter serves on the Board of Directors of the Cape and Islands Workforce Investment Board, and advisory board for the Charlton College of Business at University of Massachusetts Dartmouth, and the Southern New England Entrepreneurs Forum (SNEEF). Peter holds a B.S. in Computer Science from Northeastern University.
Tom Gardner is an innovative technology executive with more than 20 years of experience in business, IT and consulting. As Chief Operating Officer (COO) for NeuEon, Tom oversees all aspects of the company’s business operations and is responsible for setting the strategic direction for the firm. Tom has a proven track record of driving long-term business results, and has particular expertise in the areas of process improvement, digitization and standardization, mergers and acquisitions, system implementations, enterprise resource planning, and workforce optimization. He also has extensive experience serving in business and technology leadership roles across a variety of industries including financial services, manufacturing, telecommunications and consumer goods.
As a seasoned COO and CIO, Tom has a deep understanding of leveraging technology to create organizational benefits. He also maintains a unique ability to straddle both the strategic and tactical nuances of technology people, processes and platforms. Tom’s depth of knowledge and history of working with startups to enterprise-level companies has played an integral role in the development of NeuEon’s methodologies and best practice approaches. Prior to joining NeuEon, Tom provided executive-level technology consulting and served as Chief Information Officer (CIO) to outsourced ventures throughout the United States and Europe. He has also led finance, recruiting, consulting, and technology for a number of small and enterprise-level firms.
Tom is active on several boards, including Trunity, Inc. and AgEagle Aerial Systems. He is a regular speaker at industry events and has contributed to a variety of publications on the use of technology and people to create organizational efficiencies. Tom holds a dual bachelor of science in accounting and management from Bryant University.
Todd is a results-oriented business leader with a track record of success in building high-performing, cross-functional teams. A proven entrepreneur with the expertise to drive growth and change, Todd has been involved in leading, developing, and implementing business-enhancing technology and strategy solutions for over 20 years. As Vice President of Consulting at NeuEon, Todd oversees multiple areas of focus including Agile software development, methodologies and implementation, workflow and business process modeling, and new technology initiatives. He also regularly partners with NeuEon’s C-level clients on both business and technology strategy.
Over the course of his career, Todd has driven a wide variety of technical engagements spanning strategy, implementation and the management of complex projects. In addition to identifying new market opportunities, Todd is integral in building and guiding high-performing teams and driving significant value through process models and lean agile methodologies. He has also led the selection and implementation of key infrastructure initiatives for traditional companies and has managed both onshore and offshore development teams for start-up and emerging technology companies.
Prior to joining NeuEon, Todd co-founded and created a successful digital media company where he expanded a traditional business by leveraging emerging technology. He also served as Executive Vice President of Operations for a national consumer health and wellness company where he built and managed various cross-functional teams responsible for supporting over 14 national retail centers.
Todd is a graduate of Williams College and is a frequent speaker at business and technology events.
Joe is recognized as an innovative, results-oriented leader with extensive experience in technology consulting and professional services. With a proven track record of success in leading organizations and developing strong client relationships, Joe has helped grow revenue, increase profitability and realize additional strategic value for companies from coast to coast.
Prior to joining NeuEon, Joe served as President at ArcTouch, a leading App Development Studio where he led the company’s team of strategists, designers and engineers to create mobile and connected experience solutions for the enterprise. Prior to leading ArcTouch, Joe was an executive at Sapient where he held senior leadership roles across the organization and helped drive growth from $30 million to over $500 million.
Known for his hands-on management style, Joe is passionate about creating a culture of continuous improvement, innovative problem solving and open communication. His responsibilities have spanned strategy, business planning, sales, client management, organizational development, and financial planning and management. Joe is regularly quoted in technology publications and speaks often at national and local conferences and meetings. He holds a bachelor of science degree in computer science from Worcester Polytechnic Institute.
Cyndy Hunter, Vice President, Marketing
In partnership with Magnetude Consulting, Cyndy serves as a key member of NeuEon’s leadership team, focused across strategic and tactical marketing disciplines. Cyndy is recognized for her extensive skills in building and launching innovative, compelling and highly successful B2B and B2C brands, products and creating programs that have disrupted established leaders and grown market share.
As a seasoned executive, Cyndy has over 30 years of experience working across hardware and software technology products and services including security and mobile, healthcare, medical devices, biotech, textiles, consumer products and electronics. She has held numerous leadership positions in marketing, sales and product management at industry leaders such as Polaroid, Iris Graphics, NEC and Agion. Cyndy has also created and driven complex, integrated marketing campaigns, including a social media campaign that generated over 1 million visitors in six months across 35 countries.
Cyndy’s work in social, mobile, digital and traditional marketing has been recognized by organizations including MITX, the Summit Awards for direct marketing, and the Frost and Sullivan award for Customer Leadership. She is an expert in EPA and FDA marketing guidelines, and has led numerous organizations to gain environmental certifications, such as Cradle-to-Cradle. She holds a bachelor of science in economics from the University of Massachusetts Amherst.
